family and civil mediation
With offices in Bournemouth (Westbourne), Poole and Southampton, laceys mediation is a well established and highly respected mediation service serving Dorset, Hampshire and the south coast. Mediation offers a highly cost-effective way of resolving disagreements arising from family breakdown and divorce as well as business and commercial disputes.
Mediation approaches disputes constructively, looking at matters from a problem solving perspective, rather than pitting one party against another. Whatever the dispute, mediation can help parties reach acceptable solutions, tailored to meet individual requirements, at a fraction of the cost of employing solicitors to ‘fight your corner’ or asking a Judge to impose a solution upon you.
cost advantage of mediation
If you don’t want to run up large legal bills, don’t want to wait for the legal process to run its course and want to have a say in the outcome - then mediation is the only answer.
Laceys lawyer mediators are trained, qualified and highly experienced in helping parties make sensible, practical, realistic decisions – whatever the matter in dispute.
If you want to sort things out fairly, quickly and cheaply, but simply cannot do this on your own, then Laceys Mediation can help. We do not expect parties to get on, or to be able to discuss matters without arguing. We only expect you to want a solution, to get matters sorted and achieve closure - we will help you do the rest!
relationship and marriage breakdown
You will need family mediation if you are leaving a relationship – whether married or not - getting divorced or have been apart a while but have decisions to make about your children and or finances. With some couples we discuss how finances can be restructured, where you will live and how you will each maintain yourselves in your new financial situation.
your children
We can talk to your children, and help the whole family through the problems. As family mediators we work with couples who have children and need to decide where they will live, how often they will see the other parent and the best way to maintain their relationship as parents, whilst accepting that their relationship as a couple is now over. We offer a holistic service, dealing with all aspects of your separation, and helping you through the legal maze and out the other end with a workable solution, acceptable to you both.
civil and commercial mediation
All other disputes can be deal with through civil mediation . Parties in dispute can mediate at the beginning of their disagreement but are frequently directed by Judges to mediate during Court proceedings. There is an acceptance by the legal profession and the Judiciary that mediated settlements have the flexibility to cover all eventualities, and leave parties feeling much more content with the outcome, rather than with one party feeling they have won and the other lost, or worse still with neither party feeling they have the result they wanted. It is a cheaper, quicker way of reaching a solution and remaining in control of the decision making process.
